I want to share a new video with you guys today, it's a routine choreographed by Tucker Barkley, famous  choreographer from LA and also a member of Kubskoutz .

The track is "Strange Clouds" by B.o.B. and Lil Wayne, and the combo he's done is to Lil Wayne's fast rapping part.

I think he's done an amazing job, his moves are so quick, but yet very powerful and clean.

Paul Kepinski - "Should've Kissed You"

Here's another inspirational video for you guys ..

This routine is by Paul Kepinski, a choreographer who teaches in Hamburg (among others at ON STAGE).

He's a long-time friend of tony, and we enjoy taking his classes whenever we're able to do so.

Lyle Beniga - "Bait"

This morning (german time), famous L.A. choreographer Lyle Beniga uploaded a new video!

It's to Wale's song "Bait" and presents the Movement Lifestyle studio in Los Angeles.

There are many awesome dancers featured, like Ian Eastwood, Lando Wilkins, Bam Martin, Nick DeMoura, Shaun Evaristo ...

The video is amazing and in the description, it says that it took them 6h to shoot - so you should definitley honour their work and watch it!

Ian Eastwood // KubSkoutz // Young Lions

So .. first, let's talk about Ian Eastwood's latest video.

This has actually been uploaded 3 weeks already, and I hesitated posting this because it isn't that new.. But I still decided to do so simply because I think the choreography is amazing .

He performed this piece to Ryan Leslie's "Wanna be good" at the Pride 4 workshop in New Brunswick, NJ.

So here's the video !

He's also introducing the new young lions Liontail Sweatpant "Skinnies" which you an order now, as part of the YL merchandise clothing.

ON stage Happening !

Hi Guys!

It's time to Inform you about a Show Winchester Pictures is going to perform on the 17 december. The ON Stage Trainings Center is doing a Show twice a Year, where most of the Dancing classes perform. So in about 2 Weeks, it's Time for that again and ofcourse, Winchester Pictures is performing there too as Part of Tony's classes.

The Show is taking place in "Uebel und Gefährlich", a Show location in Hamburg.

So if You're in the Area, stop by and Watch us perform.

I'll keep all you Guys who aren't able to go updated, for sure.

Right now, we're just rehearsing for the Show, and really looking foward to it!

New Video! Faces 2012

Ian Eastwood - Fall for your type

Sometimes it doesn't matter how painful or how difficult the journey is- if you believe in someone or something, you should always follow your heart.. and never hold yourself back

This is what Ian Eastwood's new video begins with.

I think every dancer can relate to this quote, as everyone of us once started very little and probably felt pretty embarassed while dancing, but went through a hard time of slowly getting better and better, or is actually going through it right now.

But now to the video :

Ian already uploaded it last week, but his YouTube Account got blocked due to copyright reasons, so only very few people were able to watch it.

Luckily, he got his account back now and the world can finally enjoy this piece.

In the description, he says "This piece is more than just dance to me and I hope everyone can feel that when they watch it...this is my life"

And I really think that you can see his passion when he dances.

The combo is amazing, and the song (from Drake's new album Take Care, coming out soon) is just as great.

Neverland 2

So.. here is the post I promised you yesterday :)

It all started last year, in fall 2010 when a theatre project called "FACES" was formed in hamburg. It existed of 3 different dance performances. One of them was Neverland, where Tony and Siham also participated in. It was created by Mayke - a total stranger to me at that time!

In spring this year, Mayke joined Winchester Pictures and we all learned to know and love her.

She announced that there was going to be Neverland part 2 staged this year, and WP members Niloo and Tony were a part of it.

Rehearsals began a couple of months ago, and they were really tough ofcourse - but the result was amazing.

Last thursday (november 3) was the premiere, and the show was performed again on the following day (that's when I got to watch it).

So now we've talked about it enough, time to let the pictures tell you the rest of the story!

My last words: the show was icredible, and I'm proud of every single one of the dancers, but especially of our wp members niloo and tony.. because they transformed from hip hop dancers to wonderful contemporary dancers. And ofcourse mayke, who created and organized all this. AMAZING WORK! and now enjoy the photos !

Soulplex Dance Competition 2011

So this is the blogpost which I promised you guys yesterday !

Like I told you, WP attended the soulplex dance competition on sunday.

This is gonna be a report of our experiences, some facts about the event, and some pictures.. enjoy!

First  of all: What is "Soulplex" ?

On Sunday, October 23rd, the 3rd Soulplex Dance Competition took Place in Hannover, Germany.

The Event was founded by Darren Drake Baldric, a dancer who appeared in the german TV show "Popstars" a couple of years ago and now teaches all over europe.

The judges were:
- Jawn Ha (choreographer from los angeles, mos wanted crew)
- Brian Puspos (famous choreographer from los angeles, mos wanted crew, movement lifestyle)
- Kimbo (Choreographer and owner of a danceschool in munich)

Only 2 weeks ago, Winchester Pictures heard about this event and ofcourse, we wanted to participate !

So we quickly created a show, rehearsed it, did some streetshows.. basically, we were just really on a mission ;)

On saturday, the last day of rehearsing we were having a little photo shoot .. i already told you guys about it :

There's actually a little story behind this picture.. it looks like Lena is an outcast from the crew of the 3 black girls ! (no offense to anyone)


So then, on Sunday, we had to get up at 4 am .. yes, that was not enough sleep for that night. But anyway we met at 5 am at the central station and took a train to Hannover (because we had to be there by 8).


After the registration process, the 1 vs 1 battles started. They were great and we had a lot of fun watching them.
But then, seriousness began!

We prepared ourselves to hit the stage ...

And rehearsed the whole thing one last time ..

We were the last crew to hit the stage.. and were pretty satisfied with our Performance. We don't know the actual result, but we ended up being somewhere in the middle.

Ofcourse we would have liked to be a little higher on the ranking, but
- we were the youngest crew of the whole event
- we prepared ourselves in only 2 weeks
- we did everything without an adolescent leader (Tony)


So all that i can add to this is I am PROUD of you girls, although we had some difficulties and problems, some people not participating, some troubles with choreographies.. Despite all these things, we made it. we were there, had an amazing day, saw many crazy performances which inspired us a lot and, most important: we had a whole lot of fun!!

Snapshot sunday #8

First of all:

Yes I know, I'm too late and it's actually monday today!

But I have a very good reason for my delay: I wasn't able to post anything yesterday because winchester pictures spent the whole day at the Soulplex Dance Competition 2011.

So now to our actual snapshot: I took this one on saturday during our rehearsals for the competition.

It shows WP members Lena, Naomi, Bettina and Florence in their show costumes.. we were just having a little photo shoot as break in a long day of rehearsing.

"marvins room" - nick demoura

Yesterday, top L.A. Choreographer NICK DEMOURA published a new piece of work, it's a combo to Drake's song "Marvins Room". 

In the description he pointed out that this is one of the latest combos he taught in his classes and he recorded it with 4 friends  dancing next to him, and all of them are gorgeous.

I really wanted to share this with you guys because i think he did an amazing job with this one, I've loved the song before but now seeing it performed by one of the best choreographers in hip hop takes it to a whole different level!
